School dress code

Yarwun State School is a uniformed school, and our students wear green and orange with pride. The bottle green/orange school shirt is available in Gladstone through Everything Uniform. Bottle green shorts, skirts, skorts, hats, sweatshirts, trackpants are available from retail outlets at very reasonable prices.

Hats are provided by the school and stay at the school.  We are lucky enough to have our hats sponsored by ConocoPhillips.  It is requested that long hair is tide back so that it does not infringe on students' peripheral vision and does not become a safety issue.  A variety of bottle green clips, ties and bands are available through local retail outlets. Students must wear closed in shoes. Joggers allow students to participate in the range of activities of a normal school day. Black is the preferred colour for joggers. Socks must be visible above the top of the jogger.

School dress code principles

Shirts are to be worn tucked in when performing at official events or on photo day, and at least one of the buttons on the shirt is to be done up.
